Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Akway Ecomm Private Limited ("Byteinfy", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit byteinfy.com, contact us, or use the apps and products we operate.

Effective 28 July 2026

Who we are

Byteinfy is a product studio operated by Akway Ecomm Private Limited, registered in India. We design, build and ship Shopify apps, web apps and Android apps, and we operate our own products including our Shopify App Store listings and mybillplease.com.

For any privacy question you can reach us at support@byteinfy.com.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to what we actually need. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

  • Contact details you send us — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, company name and anything else you include in a project enquiry.
  • Communications — the content of emails, WhatsApp messages, Instagram DMs and call notes exchanged while we scope or deliver work.
  • Business and billing details — company address, tax identifiers, invoices and payment references where we enter into a paid engagement.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed, collected automatically by our hosting provider and any analytics we run.
  • App and merchant data — where you install one of our Shopify or Android apps, the data that platform authorises the app to access, as described in that app's own listing and privacy disclosures.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not seek sensitive categories of personal data (such as health or biometric data) through this website.

How we use information

  • To reply to enquiries, scope projects and provide quotes.
  • To deliver, support and maintain the products and services you engage us for.
  • To send service messages — delivery updates, invoices, security or availability notices.
  • To operate and improve this website, including diagnosing errors and understanding which pages are useful.
  • To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry data to build advertising profiles.

Cookies and analytics

This website is intentionally light on tracking. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. Any analytics we use is limited to aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement of page views and traffic sources, and our hosting provider keeps standard security and performance logs.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

Sharing your information

We share personal information only with parties who help us run the business, and only as far as needed:

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers that serve this website and our applications.
  • Email, messaging and communication providers used to correspond with you.
  • Platform partners such as Shopify and Google Play, where you interact with us through their marketplaces and under their own terms.
  • Payment, accounting and professional advisers for invoicing, tax and compliance.
  • Authorities or third parties where disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect our rights, users or systems.

If our business is ever restructured or acquired, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

International transfers

We operate from India and work with clients worldwide. Our service providers may process data in other countries, which may have different data protection rules than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with those providers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to evaluate and follow up on the opportunity, and project and billing records for as long as required by contract and by Indian tax and accounting law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), least-privilege credentials and reputable infrastructure providers to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

Your rights

Subject to your local law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent you previously gave.

To exercise any of these, email support@byteinfy.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Our apps

Each app we publish on the Shopify App Store or Google Play has its own privacy disclosures covering the data that app accesses in order to function. Those disclosures apply in addition to this policy for anyone who installs the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products and obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version; material changes will be highlighted here.
